Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The manuscript has been divided into two files, the title page and the manuscript, and should be uploaded separately.

The authors use citation manager such as Zotero or Mendeley for preparation of the submitted manuscript.
Author Guidelines
Thank you for considering SEAJSP as the platform to share your valuable research in the field of psychiatry. The SEAJSP received the following types of paper:
1) Research Article: Up to 250 word in Abstract. About 2200-3000 words, excluding tables, figures and references. The manuscript might contain 1 to 3 tables, 1-2 figures, 25 to 50 references.
2) Brief Report: Up to 150 word for abstract. About 1000-1500 words, excluding tables, figures and references. The manuscript might contain 1 table, 1 figure, 10 to 15 references.
3) Systematic Review: Up to 250 word in Abstract . About 2500 - 3500 words, excluding tables, figures and references. We only accept a systematic review, meta-analysis, and scoping review. A literature review will not be accepted. The manuscript might contain 1 - 3 tables, 1-2 figures, 30 to 60 references.
To ensure a smooth and efficient submission process, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Manuscript Preparation
- Prepare your manuscript in American English, following the Harvard style citation and references. We encourage you to use the reference manager such as Mendeley or Zotero.
- Ensure clarity, conciseness, and coherence in your writing.
- Include a title page with the title of the paper, author names and affiliations, and contact information.
- Abstract
- Provide a structured abstract with the word count according to the type of your manuscript. Abstract should contain background, methods, results, and conclusions of your study.
- Keywords:
- Include a list of 3 to 5 keywords that accurately represent the content of your manuscript. We encourage the authors to use the MeSH Keywords.
- Manuscript Structure
- Organize your manuscript into sections such as Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
- Figures and Tables
- Submit high-quality figures and tables with appropriate captions.
- Number figures and tables in the order they appear in the text.
- Table and figure should be place at the end of the manuscript, following the references.
- References
- Cite all sources accurately, following the Harvard Style
- Ensure that all references cited in the text are included in the reference list and vice versa.
- The number of references should follow the type of manuscript submitted.
- Ethical Considerations
- Clearly state that your research adheres to ethical guidelines, including obtaining informed consent and approval from relevant ethical review boards.
- If applicable, provide information on funding sources and conflicts of interest.
- Manuscript Submission
- Submit your manuscript through the online submission system on the AJPMH website.
- Include a cover letter with your submission, briefly introducing the study's importance and original contributions.
- Review Process
- Manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
- Reviewers will assess the quality, validity, and significance of the research.
- We encourage the authors to list 3 to 6 possible reviewer to the manuscript. They should have a good research and publication records and shall have no conflict of interest in reviewing your manuscript.
- Manuscript Acceptance
- Authors will be notified of the editorial decision, and revisions may be requested.
- Accepted manuscripts will be subject to final editing and formatting by the editorial team.
- Open Access:
- SEAJSP is committed to open access publishing. Submission before the end of June 2024 will have no Article Processing Charge (APC) for open access publication.
- Frequency of Publication.
- The SEAJSP is released semiannually, specifically in the months of June and December.
- DOI - Digital Object Identifier. All manuscript accepted for publication will have a specific DOI.
